![]() ![]() As slag is almost a necessity in UVHM and amplifies the damage of an already powerful sniper shot, a slagged enemy is a dead enemy. Should you find yourself dying a lot, I'd recommend switching toĪntagonist: found in seraph vendor in fourth DLC, we're not going to use it for its billet reflection properties here, but a sniper Zero would find great use in its ability to slag your target. One thing to note is the Bee has the protection level of a wet napkin. The Bee: everyone already knows what the Bee does, I ain't gonna put it here. The Bee shield is rather worthless, considering that it actually deprives you of the Fearless buff. Love Thumper is also viable as a Rough Rider substitute. As for shields to help you, a Rough Rider can help since you're considered with a depleted shield meaning fleet is always active, and there's always the good ol' beehawk combo along with ruin for easy slagging. One is the Sham shield, to minimize damage, another is the Rough Rider to maximize Fearless. Think if Tourge made a sniper minus EXPLOSIONS! This makes overpowered Hoplites completely worthless, you're better off without a shield. Bullets have high damage but low velocity. The Sloth fires a (three?) burst at your target. Why? The Trespasser bypasses enemy shields and does damage directly to health. Each Hoplite in the Group will decrease the user's movement speed by 20. Quest reward from Rakkaholic'a Anonymous, turn into Mordy) or the Trespasser (quest reward from Animal Rights). The 20 Shield Capacity increase counts the user of this Shield. There's the obvious ones (Skullsmasher, Cobra, etc.) but I also can't recommend enough the almost unknown Sloth (a unique Dahl sniper. However, with a bit of practice, the right sniper and shield on a Zero who knows how to use critical ascension well (fast hands, faster aiming) can become more then a match for any mob. That doesn't mean that you CAN'T snipe, it just makes it not a very practical option. The sham is the best shield for running through places full of enemies with guns. That said, remember to remove it for jumping puzzles, because it does decrease your jump length as well. Sniping in UVHM isn't really a viable option because the enemies can take more damage then the could in TVHM. However, the hoplite has a higher capacity (you get a 20 boost to its listed capacity because of how the shield works) and the movement reduction is hardly noticeable. ![]()
